IBX Content Platform

IBX Content Platform consists of different tools to make life easier for the purchasing organization, such as a Workbench, Search Engine and a Price Check.

IBX Content Workbench

IBX Content Workbench provides efficient management of content, enabling the purchasing organisation to shift focus from disparate formats, classifications and delivery, to price and content quality. IBX Content Workbench is designed to make it easy for purchase managers to control and manage suppliers, product data and relevant input forms. The product provides tools for support in deciding what should be presented to whom and also signals if changes are made to key procurement attributes.

IBX Content Workbench is supplied together with IBX Search Engine, an easy-to-use tool to find, compare and procure products and services. IBX Search Engine is designed to support the procurement of most product and services categories through a number of call-off methods including: catalogues, requests, configurable eForms, free-text orders and punch out to external webshops. The product enables fast catalogue upload and supplier management process. It is continuously enhanced with product category-specific ‘call-off’ solutions. The search engine is integrated with the purchasing organisation’s eProcurement system.

IBX Search Engine

IBX Search Engine is an easy-to-use tool for end-users to find products and services. The IBX Search Engine is designed to support eProcurement initiatives in global organisations, and is thus designed to function in a multi-language environment.

To facilitate a quick and easy search, IBX Search Engine supports the following features:

  • Keyword search: allows the user to specify a search term and create a hit-list based on any product.
  • Attribute search: allows the user to search for products/services based on manufacturer, part number, supplier part number or price range.
  • Refinement capabilities: allows the user to refine a search to show hit-list based on category, supplier and manufacturer.

Due to the complexity and variability in content of many products and services, some orders may have to be supplemented with more detailed information before being finalised. IBX Search Engine supports the concept of “eForms”, which is a template of pre-defined entry fields attachable to each product and service. The entry fields can be free-text or multiple choice and marked as optional or mandatory. The final price can be set as a variable dependant on the selections made.

IBX Catalogues provide the user with comprehensive product information such as description texts, attachments and pictures. IBX has vast experience in creating catalogues suitable for a wide range of commodities. Catalogue buying is a user friendly and efficient way to procure many types of products and services. It is best suited for well defined, fixed priced products and services.

IBX eForms is a flexible form generator, enabling purchasing organisations to create unique forms on a product level to further ensure that spend is captured efficiently. Users can include all types of form fields including predefined multiple choice dropdown lists, checkboxes, radio buttons and text boxes. IBX eForms provides increased flexibility and control of catalogue content.

IBX Price Check

Price Check is a functionality that enables end-users in purchasing organisations to complete a simple form which asks suppliers for a detailed quote. This call off method is normally used when supplier interaction is needed before the order is placed. IBX Content creates and maintains the request template including search words and synonyms to ensure that the user can find the supplier and/or template.
