IBX continues global expansion with its first office in the U.S.
Chicago/Stockholm, December 17, 2009 - IBX Group, the leading provider of efficient e-purchasing solutions announced today the opening of its first office in the U.S., based in Chicago. With its new U.S. location, IBX North America Inc. can offer a full range of e-procurement and e-sourcing solutions and managed services to its enterprise clients and large corporations in the U.S. and Canada markets.
Experienced IBX employees with extensive purchasing knowledge will staff the IBX North American office. As a result, US clients will have access to the full range of IBX solutions for e-sourcing and e-procurement as well as managed services from the start. The solutions are delivered as SaaS (Software as a Service) making them scalable and rapid to deploy across enterprises with lower total cost of ownership.

The office is located at the Swedish Trade Council’s premises on Chicago’s main street, with a view of Millennium Park, the city’s largest green area, and stretching across to Lake Michigan.
“Part of our growth strategy is to expand organically as our clients lead us to new markets. By establishing a presence in the US through recent contract with Kraft Foods, USA’s largest food and beverage producer and our collaboration with Cap Gemini, we will also be able to build relationships with large corporations in North America that can benefit from our solution,” said Leif Bohlin, CEO of IBX. ”

About Per Finnhammar

Per Finnhammar is Swedish, 38 years old, married with two children and holds a Master of Science civil engineering degree from the Royal Institute of Technology. He has been with IBX since 2005 and is currently Head of Sales Sweden. Prior to this, Per has held several key positions within IBX, such as Key Account Manager for one of IBX premier accounts and Senior Manager within IBX Consulting. Before joining IBX, Per worked as a management consultant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and been responsible for purchasing development at Swedish State Rail (SJ AB). Per has also purchasing experience from the construction industry. Per has lived and worked in Australia.
